What people are saying about Dr. Mike...

“I can’t recommend Mike highly enough. I competed in powerlifting before having FAI surgery on both hips, and I had a nagging case of hip/high-hamstring pain long after my surgery. I spent months at my university’s physical therapists (all DPTs) spinning my wheels and receiving antiquated advice that wasn’t suited to my strength or activity levels. Mike was able to pinpoint my bio-mechanical inefficiencies and assign corrective exercises immediately. Within a few weeks with Mike, my movements were more efficient, my pain had decreased, and my ROM had improved. To anyone who wants to move and feel better, go see Mike.”

Do you accept insurance?

No, we are an out-of-network practice requiring self-pay at each visit. This gives us the freedom to allow your individual goals to dictate your treatment while spending more time on your care. However, you may be able to be reimbursed through your out-of-network insurance coverage by submitting the claims yourself. Itemized receipts and bill of services will be provided to you upon request.  We accept Debit cards, Credit cards, checks, Medical Reimbursement Acounts (MRA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards.

Do I need to see a doctor before starting physical therapy?

No, in Massachusetts you have direct access to physical therapy without needing a referral from a physician. If your physical therapist deems it necessary that you follow up with physician, you will be informed.

Do I need to have an injury to have physical therapy?

Physical therapists are movement experts and here at AMP Fitness we pride ourselves on performance. If something is preventing you from moving and performing at your highest level, whether it's mobility restrictions, past injury history, or a chronic condition, physical therapy may be able to help you.

Can I work out while I'm getting therapy?

Yes, pain, injury, and dysfunction are a normal part of life, but it doesn't mean you need to stop training, exercising, or working out. Your Physical Therapist and Coach at AMP will work together to make sure you get the treatment and training you need to help you achieve your goals, without interfering with one another.
