Picture a cross between Wonder Woman, Lady Tarzan and Trinity from the Matrix.
A human so nimble that she can leap over short walls, swing from monkey bars, and bear crawl through man-made mud pits. Someone gazelle-like in her speed and spider monkey-like in her hanging skills.
Now imagine that person being a super nice, lovable coach ready to help you kick all the fitness butt.
Well, the AMP Team just got one human stronger with just that person. Meet Meg!
a.k.a. "The MegHawk" a.k.a. "Ninja Meg" a.k.a. "The Athlete"
Hometown: Winchester, MA
Fitness Creds: NASM, CFSC, FMS2 Pn1 and an obnoxious amount of others
Fitness Wisdom: Fitness is the part of all of our lives that should allow us to feel strong, indepedent, and badass... and look good naked.
Favorite Superhero? Did someone say tacos? Oh, superhero? The AMP Members!
Favorite thing about AMP? The turf feels like real grass. Oh and the people feel like family (the kind you like).
Why are you excited to join the AMP Fitness Team?
So many reasons. I joined the AMP team because they focus on high quality programs for every ability level, nerding out on the most effective training methods, and are potentially as goofy and awkward as myself. Oh, and just walking in the door I could tell how much everyone cares about each other. It's magical.
How would you describe your training style?
Like the fun aunt. I want to show you a bunch of awesome things that will benefit your life, then let you work hard and master them on your own. Unless you're going to land yourself in jail or get hurt, then I jump in and save the day. I focus on using weird metaphors to make abstact ideas click and one or two simple cues to help people nail any exercise.
What are some of your other passions/hobbies in life?
I enjoy getting lost in the woods for hours, monkey bars over water, rope burns, and trying to jump over fire faster than other people. I enjoy reading and tacos in no particular order.
How will you help the Super Humans at AMP succeed?
By listening. Pushing them when they need to be pushed. Hugging them when they need to be hugged. By being real, being there for them so they can be their best selves. And by wearing super fun sparkly shoes!
If you could wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Toss up between a full spandex suit like the Flash for races or a snuggie with big hood and pouch (to hold my books and tacos) for maximum nap-age capabilities.
